This elegant box is a quintessential example of characteristic Korean decorative techniques, such as kkeunemjil and mojobeop. The top of the box features a landscape scene that includes water, mountains, a pavilion and boats. The wave form (heapo mun) pattern embellishes the entire front part and it symbolises good fortune, whereas fish, waves, rocks, and cherry blossom decorate the inner panels symbolising fertility.
