A Korean inlaid Low Table 'Daegwol-Ban' used at the royal palace, 19th century, the top decorated with a dragon and a pheonix inlaid with shagreen, each opposing a tortoiseshell inlaid pearl with mother-of-pearl clouds, above a shaped apron inlaid with four Chinese characters of Chung, Hyo, Je, Shin' (loyalty, piety, love one's elder brother and faith) and auspicious objects with shagreen, on square legs and club feet, 102cm wide 70.5cm deep 42cm high
