Artist Introduction
Kim Munho, born in the 1950’s in Mokpo, South Korea, graduated with a BFA and MFA in Ceramic from Mokpo National University, College of Art. The artist exhibited his works across Europe and Korea, and has been Mokpo Branch Manager of Korean National Artists Federation and Senior Lecturer of Mokpo National University Life Long Education Centre. The artist is famous for his tea bowls: working with stoneware within the buncheong tradition, indigenous of Korea and characterised by its earthen colours and subdued decorations, the artist creates works of art that are as pleasant at touch as they are at sight. White slip decoration is applied underneath a lucid glaze in abstract designs, which are unique for every bowl.Delivery
