White Porcelain Bowls
Nesting bowls are called balwoo in Korean and are traditionally used by monks in the serving of temple food. Artist Lee offers here a modern interpretation of such an iconic piece of tableware, achieving an astonishingly high level of craftsmanship and precision. Artist IntroductionLee Jaejun is a UK-based Korean ceramic artist who specialises in the use of porcelain. The artist creates stunning works with excellent level of precision and attention to detail. Extremely smooth and homogenous surfaces together with a moderate palette of colours are characteristic of Lee’s works, which combine Korean traditional shapes and sensibilities with contemporary tableware making.
